Sinclair Building Architecture and Design is a unique, multifaceted design-build firm based in Aspen Colorado. Our project range is international in reach and we manage the process from inspiration to installation. Our aesthetic vocabulary is broad – from historic and traditional, to contemporary and modern.

With 25 years experience, we have successfully delivered against a wide variety of projects. From high end residential, condominium, commercial, resort and hospitality, Principal Rob Sinclair personally oversees each project with his professional, experienced team.

Building

From inspiration to occupancy – as both architects and contractors – we provide a single source of responsibility and accountability for clients from Manhattan to Malibu. We maintain committed partnerships with best-in-class artisans and tradesman to ensure that what is drawn is what is delivered.

Architecture

Our aesthetic vocabulary is broad and deep. We draw on many sources, including program, site and neighborhood characteristics. Our projects are developed through an iterative process that balances our clients' needs with the constraints and possibilities to deliver an inspiring, meaningful home.

Design

Thoughtful appointments and refinement are the bedrock when it comes to creating spaces that seamlessly complement each project's aesthetic. A wide range of styles and cultural influences allows traditional or modern to work harmoniously with the architecture to create a cohesive whole.

Rob earned a Masters in Architecture Degree from Syracuse University, studying in their abroad program in Florence, Italy, with a focus on Architecture and Urban Design in a historical context. His undergraduate studies were at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, earning a 5 year professional Bachelor of Architecture degree.

With a passion for architecture fueled by inquisitiveness and an appreciation of history, Rob has traveled extensively to expand and maintain the vision requisite for original and unique designs.

Rob is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Design Leadership Network, the Leaders of Design Council and the Institute for Classical Architecture and Art. Rob is licensed under the National Council of Architecture Registration Boards (NCARB) and individually licensed in 8 states. He also belongs to the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the U. S. Green Building Council, and supports other charitable organizations.
